Calgary, June 25, 2021 – GlobalFest is excited to return to Elliston Park this August with five nights of fireworks and multi-cultural food and entertainment.

After a year’s hiatus, GlobalFest returns to Elliston Park late this summer with its signature pyromusical fireworks presentation together with the multicultural OneWorld Festival.
Commencing 19 August, teams from China, India, Japan and the Philippines will go head-to-head in a spectacular display of the best pyrotechnics their nations have to offer. The event wraps on 28 August with the Canadian team presenting a show-stopping finale of light and sound.
With Calgarians moving cautiously ahead as restrictions continue to ease, there will be a few changes for the 2021 event. The south-eastern side of the park is being opened up, allowing for greater social distancing between attendees and a new vantage point for returning spectators.
There will be four stages with entertainment provided by dance and musical troupes from many of our cultural partners. A delicious selection of international food booths will be stationed around the park, together with beer gardens offering cool refreshments.
Absent this year, will be the cultural pavilions and night market. This difficult but necessary decision was made to also allow for social distancing in areas that attendees typically meet and mingle with the cultural associations representing their countries.
2020 ticket holders will need to exchange their passes for this year’s event, in person at the GlobalFest offices from Monday 5 July.
All tickets for 2021 go on sale, online only, from Monday 5 July. This event is strictly pre-sale – there will be no tickets sold at the gate. General admission and VIP options available.
