GlobalFest Food Truck Event Friday 15 – Monday 18 May
Calgary, May 11, 20202 – GlobalFest is hosting a drive-in food truck event to support small businesses at the Calgary Zoo / Genesis Centre on May long weekend.

With restaurant service restricted and most of Calgary’s summer festivals cancelled or rescheduled, GlobalFest aims to support a few of the small businesses who regularly appear at its annual summer festival. Patrons will remain in their vehicles to place their orders, and our volunteer team will manage contactless delivery to adhere to social distancing guidelines still in effect.
GlobalFest has partnered up with the Socially Distant Festival which has garnered an impressive international following, with artists from around the world sharing their livestreamed performances on Facebook. Calgary’s art scene has shot to the top 3 cities in the world participating in the online festival, and a specially curated showcase will be streaming live from 3-8pm on Sunday 17 May. The annual summer Festival is working on alternative plans to deliver a modified event that includes firework displays – and multicultural activities during our OneWorld event – sometime in the fall.
