What: GlobalFest – Celebrating 20 Years in Calgary
Calgary, 26 April 2022 – GlobalFest is excited to celebrate its 20th Anniversary Year in Elliston Park this August, with the return of cultural pavilions, the night market, live entertainment and more.
GlobalFest has reached an exciting milestone this year – 20 Years of Celebrating a World of Difference. The 2022 summer festival sees the return of cultural pavilions, night market and the big main stage – absent from the 2021 event due to COVID – plus more food trucks, and, of course, incredible fireworks.
Commencing 18 August, pyro-musical designers from Austria, France, Germany, and last year’s Best of Festival Team India, will light up the skies above the lake in Elliston Park. This year’s event wraps on 27 August with a Canadian team presenting a show-stopping finale of light and sound that wows audiences year after year.
Two stages will feature back-to-back entertainment with dance and musical troupes from many of our cultural partners. A dedicated children’s area will be located close to the recently upgraded playground, plus a delicious selection of international food booths and trucks will be available around the park, together with park-wide licensing.
Early bird ticket pricing for 2022 is available 2 May to 4 June at Calgary Co-op Customer Service and the Marlborough Mall Information Desk, online, or in-person at the GlobalFest Offices. General admission and VIP ticketing available.
2020 ticket holders can exchange their passes for this year’s event, online or in person at the GlobalFest offices from Monday 9 May to Tuesday 31 May inclusive. This is the last year that an exchange can be made.
