(Calgary, AB – July 21, 2016) – GlobalFest’s own Urban Artists and Cultural Pavilions will be performing shows on Thursday, July 21 at the Stephen Avenue Walk Summer Stage (located between 1 Street SE and Centre Street) and the Calgary Tower!
Stop by and watch FREE special performances from GlobalFest’s Brazil and Iran Pavilions on the Stephen Avenue Walk Summer Stage. These Pavilions will be featured at the Sunbelt Rentals OneWorld Festival at GlobalFest, showcasing their heritage dress, cultural music, incredible performances, and interactive activities for Festival goers this August.
Catch GlobalFest Urban Artists Amauri, Rubix, and JustJamal on the free-to-attend Stephen Avenue Summer Stage as they dance, rap, and DJ to promote positivity, love, and solidarity through embracing diversity. Afterwards, the GlobalFest Urban Artists will be performing in the Calgary Tower! GlobalFest’s Urban Arts Program strives to deliver empowering experiences in creative arts to young people and students in our city. Over the past year, the GlobalFest Urban Arts Program worked with over 1,800 youth from diverse communities across Calgary, including immigrant, refugee and differently-abled teens.
