GlobalFest and HeckYa.Ca present Canada Day fireworks – Thursday 1 July
Calgary, June 25, 2021 – GlobalFest has again teamed up with HeckYa.Ca to present the Strathmore Canada Day Pyromusical Finale for Canada Day.
When: Thursday, July 1- 11pm
Where: Strathmore Agricultural Society Grounds, streamed on www.heckya.ca
What: Canada Day Fireworks
After a long year of lockdowns, the Town of Strathmore can once again cautiously gather in recognition of Canada Day.
Following a completely livestreamed event in 2020, this year sees availability for in-person attendance, with gates opening at 9.30pm to a limited drive-in audience at the Strathmore Agricultural Society Grounds. A variety of food trucks will be on site from 3.00pm.
Canada Day has gathered increasingly debate about its meaning and impact, and in recognition of this, the pyromusical presentation features an Indigenous segment to acknowledge the traditional occupants of these territories and the lands we live, work and play on to this day.
Music will be broadcast on More Country 104.5FM, with high dispersal fireworks shot up into the sky for Strathmore locals to watch. The show will be simulcast live online HeckYa.ca for everyone to experience.
The pyromusical show starts at 11:00 PM on Thursday 1 July, preceded by messages from local sponsors and community leaders.
