GlobalFest Flavours culinary experience returns

In the spring of 2021, GlobalFest turned their attention to the tastes of the OneWorld with the new livestreaming cooking program GlobalFest Flavours. Each of the five episodes of the first season introduced the audience to a different culture to learn about their foods, flavours, spices and recipes.

Season 2 is back with four new culinary experiences. Return audiences will see a few changes from Season 1, with every episode streamed from the new set up in the Affair to Remember commercial kitchen.

October 19 welcomed Calvin Tsu and Andre Tambungco from iconic local restaurant Kinjo Sushi & Grill. Audiences learned to make gyoza and temaki sushi from scratch and took the opportunity to ask questions throughout the show.

Coinciding with Día de los Muertos, the next episode on November 2 features Mexican cuisine with Carmen Phillips – Calgary local and creator of Herb Appeal Dressings. Following on November 16 will be a three-course Filipino extravaganza; and the second season wraps up featuring a Scottish Christmas Special on November 30.

Limited ingredients boxes are available for Calgary locals, with prizes drawn each episode.
