A Message From The Chairman

What started out as a five-day international multicultural festival and pyro-musical fireworks extravaganza has developed into a community organization that actively produces and performs throughout the year. As a non-profit organization, community development and creating a more dynamic, forward-thinking, and welcoming environment for all of Calgary’s citizens serve as the foundation for all of our initiatives.

“Sponsors, Golfers, Volunteers and Donors,

This year our 8th annual golf tournament was one for the books! Recovering from 2023’s extreme weather conditions on the golf course, our GlobalFest team came prepared and showed up for another successful day. Excitement was in the air as all the tee’d off in our Texas Scramble adding such a spirit to Alberta’s Most Explosive Golf Tournament.

I would like to thank our wonderful partners and volunteers who participated in making each golf hole unique and fun, with all of the different games and prizes included at each. This golf tournament and its fun spirit associated with it, would not be possible without all of the continued support GlobalFest is given. It is truly amazing to see a sense of community be brought out through a game of gold. All of the donations received go towards the many community development programs that GlobalFest takes on year-round through the reaching out initiative including, the Human Rights Forum, MySummerJourneyYYC, and our Youth Leaders of Tomorrow Program. All of these programs provide opportunity toward establishing solutions to significant issues faced in communities.

GlobalFest is a not-for-profit community development agency dedicated to celebrating, showcasing and promoting Calgary’s ethno-cultural diversity and artistic excellence. We enrich the lives of our citizens and strengthen our community, while simultaneously enhancing Albert’s reputation as an international destination.

In summary, we would like to again thank all of our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for continuing to support us through the 8th annual golf classic and making it a very successful day. The weather has not always cooperated with us and we are very happy to see everyone out to take a chance on us and a chance on the weather, while enjoying a game that we all love, (or are trying to love). We are already looking forward to seeing you and all of the friends you invite to participate in the 9th annual GlobalFest Golf tournament next year!
