Entrances and Exits

There are three entrances/exits to the park. Corner Gate at 17 Ave SE and 60 Ave SE, Southland Shuttle Gate at 17 Ave SE and 61 Street SE and RONA Gate on 60 Ave SE. These lots are very accessible to the venue. We hold box offices at both Corner Gate and RONA Gate. These lots are very accessible to the venue. Because of how loved this festival is in Calgary, it is important to be aware of delays leaving the park after the firework shows. We are there with you on the grounds to ensure that everyone leaves safely and in an orderly manner.

Gate Options

There are three gates into Elliston Park along the Northern and North-Western sides of the park.

  • Co-op Corner gate at 17 Ave SE and 60 Ave SE
  • Southland Shuttle gate at 17 Ave SE and 61 Street SE.
  • RONA Gate on 60 Ave SE

Information on Final Admission

The nightly firework displays typically begin between 930pm and 10pm – dependent on sunset, prevailing weather and other factors as determined by the Production Team. Fireworks may even start earlier if weather or other factors require it, which is why last admission to the park is 915pm. 

The sky must be dark before the show can begin so that the full effect of the pyrotechnics can been seen and enjoyed.

Planning Your Exit

Leaving a festival can be hectic. With our festival venue being able to accommodate up to 22,500 people, this can leave a chaotic time. We have security and staff scouring the park to ensure safety is number one. But, you should expect delays when leaving… It is only natural. By orderly leaving and being patient with staff and all of the other attendees, we can make a smooth timely exit from the park.
