Fireworks A Go at GlobalFest – Fireworks Excluded from Fire Ban!!!

(Calgary, AB, August 25, 2015) – Tonight, Spain’s Brunchú Pyro Experience will illuminate the sky over Elliston Park. Spain has been crowned “Best Of” three times making them the most successful country to ever perform at GlobalFest. The show is a tribute to the music of the eighties. The fireworks will be paired with Spanish songs of legendary artists such as Madonna, the mythical rock of U2 and ending with magic of AC/DC.

GlobalFest has been in consultation with the Calgary Fire Department regarding the earlier announcement of a citywide Fire Ban. Calgary Fire Department has assured GlobalFest that fireworks are excluded from the current ban in place. The existing ban is specific to the use of fire pits, recreational campfires and other wood burning devices such as fire places. For more information please check The City of Calgary, Calgary Fire Department websites.

GlobalFest will not be postponing this evening’s Spain show.

Tickets can still be purchased online until 4pm at, at Calgary Co-op Customer Service Offices, Marlborough Mall, Alberta London Drugs and at our two on-site Box Offices.
