“It’s going to be awesome,” said Ken Goosen, Producer for GlobalFest. “We are so honoured to be part of such a great celebration.”
The Canadian team is doing exceptionally well at the 2015 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships. Mac Marcoux and brother BJ Marcoux (guide) claimed another silver for Canada in today’s Super-G (visually impaired) race. This makes two podiums in two days for the Marcoux brothers.
The Canadian Para-Alpine Team is focused on a strong showing with potential for several podiums at the 2015 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships. Canada has a ski team full of strength, focus and past success. Canadian athletes to watch are: Matt Hallat, Kimberly Joines, Mac Marcoux, Braydon Luscombe, Kurt Oatway and Kirk Schornstein.
The 2015 IPC Alpine World Ski Championships will be the biggest gathering of skiers since Sochi 2014 and is set to feature close to 120 athletes from 25 countries, which includes some of the biggest names on the IPC World Cup circuit. The festivities began with Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, February 28th. The competition began March 4th with the first race – Downhill.
Make sure to bundle up, grab your Canadian colours, cow bells and cheer on our Canadian hopefuls that are competing at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships.
